Why do I need a converter?
Appliances built for North America use are designed to operate on 110/120 volts. Overseas voltage is 220/240. A converter is necessary overseas in order to reduce the voltage so North American appliances may operate safely.
*Use with NON-ELECTRONIC heating appliances rated up to 2,000 watts MAXIMUM such as:
- Clothes Steamers
- Coffee Makers
- Electric Blankets
- Electric Curlers
- Food/Bottle Warmers
- Hair Dryers
- Heating Pads
- Immersion Heaters
- Incandescent Lamps
- Irons
WARNING: DO NOT use with hair straighteners or flat irons.
